Ghandruk; Ghandruk is a Village Development Committee in the Kaski District of the Gandaki Province of Nepal. Situated north-west of Pokhara, the village is readily accessible by public buses and private taxis from the provincial headquarters. Ghandruk is a common place for treks in the Annapurna range of Nepal, it is gateway to the Poon hill. The peaks of Mt Annapurna, Mt Machapuchare, Gangapurna and Mt Hiunchuli can be seen from the village. Gurung communities comprise the major inhabitants of the village. Local attractions include the Gurung Cultural Museum and monastery.

Ghorpepani Poon Hill; Ghorepani is a village in Myagdi District in the Dhaulagiri Zone of northern-central Nepal. It lies 17 kilometers from the district capital of Beni at an elevation of approximately 2850 m (9429 ft). The place used to be a rest stop where ancient traders found water (pani in Nepali) for their horses (ghora in Nepali), thus leading to the nomenclature Ghorepani. The construction of new roads has made the Ghorepani trade route unnecessary, and as such the main income source for residents of the village is now tourism.

Poon Hill; Poon Hill is located 270 km west from Kathmandu. Poon Hill is a hill station overlooking the Annapurna Massif range and Dhaulagiri mountain range, located on the border of Myagdi District and Kaski District in Gandaki Province of Nepal. This lookout is the key viewpoint in the Ghorepani Poon Hill trek. Mountains such as an Annapurna 8,091 m, Dhaulagiri 8,127, Annapurna South 7,219 Meter, Machapuchare 6,993 Meter, Hinchuli, Annapurna III, Dhampus peak, Dhulagiri II, and many other tall peaks can be seen from here.

Ghandruk Poon Hill express trek is start from Pokhara and end in Pokhara within 3 days. Asian Hiking Team staffs come to your hotel in Pokhara at 7am to 8am to pick up you. We drive to Ghandruk village from your hotel. It takes 3 to 4 hours by private vehicle. Explore the tropical Gurung Ghandruk village, lunch in Ghandruk and trek to Tadapani (2680 m) 3.30 hours trekking. On day second we trek to Ghorepani 5–6 hours and the last day early morning hike to Poon Hill for sunrise view and after breakfast trek all the way to Ulleri 4 hours and drive to Pokhara by private vehicle 3–4 hours drop to your hotel end trek in Pokhara.

Day 01: Meet our staff in Pokhara and 3–4 hours’ drive to Ghandruk (1950 m) by Private Vehicle, explore the village, Annapurna Lunch in Ghandruk and trek to Tadapani (2680 m). Overnight at Himalayan Guest house (B/L/D).

Day 02: Early morning special breakfast and trek to Ghorepani (2850 m) 5–6 hours trekking. We have lunch in Deurali (3180 m). Overnight at Hotel Hungry Eye or Hotel Sunny or Super view in Ghorepani (B/L/D).

Day 03: Very early morning hike to Poon Hill (3210) before sunrise, 30–45 minutes. Catch the huge ranges of massif Annapurna view and half an hour down to your hotel. Sunrise breakfast and ready backpack and trek to Ulleri (2030m) 4 hours trek, and 3–4 hours’ drive to Pokhara by private Jeep. We transfer to your own hotel in Pokhara.

Note: This trek is made for short trek from Pokhara to Pokhara, it is possible to do long or many days as well. It is also possible to start from Kathmandu too. We are happy to provide Hotel in Pokhara, Kathmandu to Pokhara transport (flight or bus) or any other activist as well.
