Putha Hiunchuli Climbing is one of the most popular 7000 meter peaks in Nepal which is situated in western part of Nepal i.e. lower Dolpo region. Putha Hiunchuli 7246 meters (Dhaulagiri VII) part of the Dhaulagiri Range. Puth Hiunchuli is the 95th highest mountain in the world, which is the most climbed peak in its category.

Puth Hiunchuli climb is fantastic, giving you the opportunity to climb a big Himalayan mountain, become familiar with Asian Hiking Team and the great Sherpa team. If, 8000 meter peak is in your future goal, we hope you will climb Putha Hiunchuli. It was first climbed in 1954 by J. O. M. Roberts and Ang Nyima Sherpa.

The trip starts from Kathmandu, two exciting mountain flights to Nepaljung and Juphal, then follows the route of Dunai, Tarakot, Musi Khola, Kagkot, Panjing and then will reach Base camp of Mount Putha Hiunchuli. Above Base camp, we will establish two camps. The route is all on snow and ice. Our experienced Sherpa staff will work with you on your technical climbing skills, as well as teach you the tricks for going to high altitude.

The actual ending date is flexible, depending on weather and conditions. Our itinerary has a number of contingency days built into the itinerary, but normally climbers will change their international departure flights when they know exactly when the expedition is going to end. Asian Hiking Team recommends adding several days to this itinerary below in case we must wait for weather or conditions.

 

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu airport (1350 m/4,429ft). Transfer to hotel, overnight at hotel.

Day 02: Preparation, briefings, last minute shopping and permit formalities, overnight at hotel.

Day 03: Kathmandu — Nepalgunj by flight, overnight at hotel.

Day 04: Nepalgunj Fly to Juphal (2470 m), same day trek to Dunai (2140 m) 3 hours, overnight at Lodge.

Day 05: Trek to Tarakot (2537 m) 6 hours, overnight at Camp.

Day 06: Trek to Musi Khola (2889 m) 7 hours, overnight at Camp.

Day 07: Trek to Kagkot (3200 m) 4 hours, overnight at Camp.

Day 08: Acclimatization rest day, overnight at Camp.

Day 09: Trek to Panjing (4200 m) 8 hours, overnight at Camp.

Day 10: Acclimatization rest day, overnight at Camp.

Day 11: Trek to German Base Camp (4500m)/ Putha phedi, 4 hours, overnight at Camp.

Day 12: Trek to Putha Hiunchuli Base Camp (4900 m) 3 hours, overnight at Camp.

Day 13: Rest/setup Base Camp, overnight at Camp.

Day 14: Puja and prepare equipment day, overnight at camp.

Day 15: Acclimatization hike to Camp 1 and return to Base Camp.

Day 16: Rest day

Day 17: Camp 1 to overnight sleep.

Day 18: Touch Camp 2 and return to Base Camp.

Day 19: Rest day.

Day 20: Rest day.

Day 21: Camp 1 (5350 m), overnight sleep.

Day 22: Camp 2 (6100 m), overnight sleep.

Day 23: Camp 3 (6600 m), overnight sleep and start climbing.

Day 24: Summit (7246 m) day, descend to Camp 2, overnight sleep.

Day 25: Return to Base Camp, overnight sleep.

Day 26: Rest/ extra day.

Day 27: extra day.

Day 29: clean Base Camp, overnight at base camp.

Day 30: Putha Base Camp — Kagkot — 8 hours, overnight at camp.
