Himlung Himal lies to the northeast of Annapurna Range with a height of 7,126 m. It is in a secluded area of Nepal, borders with Tibet. Nepal government opened the region in 1992. Himlung Himal was first climbed on Oct 03, 1992 by Osamu Hanai, Akio Koizumi, Nima Sherpa.
Asian Hiking Team drive from Kathmandu to Besisahar continues to Koto trekking to Himlung Himal base camp follows the round Annapurna circuit trekking route until to Koto. From Koto trekking to Nar-phu valley, Fu village. The trekking from Nar-phu village is recently opened, and this track offers great deals of tall peaks and passes; also you get greeted by glaciers, gullies, springs and remote villages nearby exhibit tremendous culture with breathtaking views of Annapurna Himal, and many more.
Base Camp of Himlung or Hemlung is seated at the height of, 4920 m. There are three higher camps are established on the heights of Camp I; 5,450 m, Camp II; 6,000 m and Camp III; 6,350 m respectively. The last part of the pinnacle includes a steep and snow icy way. Generally it takes ten to fifteen days to conquer Himlung Himal climbing base camp to base camp.
Asian Hiking Team - Himlung Expedition autumn season schedule start on October 16 and in spring program has been schedule for 2025. Our international group joining trip for Himlung Himal is one of the popular 7000 meters peak climbing object. For spring 2025 on April 4 and April 18 start from Kathmandu. From the few years back, this mountain is getting popular as a seven thousands meter peak climbing.
Day 01: Arrivals in Kathmandu 1360m, transfer to hotel (BB).
Day 02: Final preparation and official briefing day (BB).
Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Besisahar 5-6 hours and continues drive to Koto (2610 m), 4-5 hours, overnight Lodge (B/L/D).
Trek start
Day 04: Trek from Koto to Dharamsala 3200m/Meta (3560 m), 5-6 hours, overnight Lodge (B/L/D).
Day 05: Trek from Dharamsala/Meta to Kyang (3820 m), 4/5 hours, overnight at Lodge (B/L/D).
Day 06: Trek from Kyang to Fu village (4080 m), 4/5 hours, overnight at Lodge (B/L/D).
Day 07: Trek Fu village to Himlung Base camp (4920 m), 4-6 hours, overnight at camping (B/L/D).
Day 08-20: Himlung 7126 m Expedition: Climbing Period for Himlung Himal Summit (7,126 m), Camp 1 5450 m, Camp 2 6000m and Camp 3 6350 m, overnight at Camping (B/L/D)
- Rest in Base camp, overnight at camp (B/L/D).
- Base camp to Camp 1 (5450m), overnight at camp (B/L/D).
- Camp 1- the guide fix the rope up to camp 2 (6000m) and Camp 3 (6350m), overnight at camp (B/L/D).
- Camp 1 to touch the Camp 2 and return to Camp 1, overnight at camp (B/L/D).
- Camp 1 to Base camp, overnight at camp (B/L/D).
- Rest day in Base camp, overnight at camp (B/L/D).
- Rest day in Base camp/ final preparation/ weather and all fitness/ save energy, overnight at camp (B/L/D).
- Base camp to Camp 1, overnight at camp (B/L/D).
- Camp 1 to Camp 2, overnight at camp (B/L/D).
- Camp 2 to Camp 3, overnight at camp (B/L/D).
- Camp 3 push the Himlung Himal 7126m, return to Camp 2, overnight at camp (B/L/D).
- Camp 2 to Base camp, overnight at camp (B/L/D).
- Extra day for summit, overnight at camp (B/L/D).

Day 20: Trek back from Base Camp to Fu village, overnight at Lodge (B/L/D).
Day 21: Trek from Phu villageto Meta, overnight at Lodge (B/L/D).
Day 22: Trek from Meta to Koto, overnight at hotel (B/L/D).
