Flora and Fauna trekking; we bring our clients to visit the Dhampus Ghorepani area. Dhampus Ghorepani trekking is in Annapurna region, which is north-central part of Nepal. Ghorepani and Dhampus are the two separate villages Development Committee. Ghorepani is famous for rhododendron forest, flowers as well as the fantastic panoramic sunrise, sunset view from Poon Hill 3210 m which is one hour climbing from Ghorepani. Dhampus is a popular starting place for treks in the Annapurna range of Nepal, with various birds and butterflies with accommodation possibilities, best views to the mountains of Annapurna including Machhapuchhare.

Dhampus Ghorepani flora and fauna trek offers the spectacular mountain scenery along with charming villages inhabited particularly by the Gurungs, Magars and Poon, dense rhododendron forests full of birds and deep subtropical valleys, all set below the Annapurna’s with the picturesque peak of Machhapuchhare (Fishtail Peak) dominating the skyline. One of the important highlights of the Dhampus Ghorepani trip is to make a claim on Poon Hill, possibly the most spectacular mountain scrapes on Earth. When the sun rises, it touches the snow-capped summits of the Himalayan giants, Dhaulagiri (8,167 m) and Annapurna (8,091 m) along with a maze of other peaks, there gradually appear, just like magic that your eye could not believe. Our destination is the beautiful and ornate village of Ghandruk, home to the Annapurna Conservation Area Project. Here you have a chance to visit the project to discover at first hand the conservation work being carried out. The Gurung Museum, Monastery is interesting to visit.

Dhampus Ghorepani flora and fauna trek starts from the beautiful tourist capital Pokhara after half an hour's drive to Phedi. Naya Early morning drive to Phedi and walk for 2 hours to reach Dhampus, after lunch to explore the Kade Dhampus village. Continues walks to pass Ghandruk village and huge rhododendron forest in Ghorepani and explore the panoramic sunrise view from Poon Hill, continues the trek to Tikhedhunga and catch vehicle in Nayapul into Pokhara. Pul means new bridge is the ending point of our Dhampus Ghorepani trekking.

 

Day by day itinerary

Day 01: Kathmandu to Pokhara by Tourist bus, 6 hours, 200 KM, 800m high.

Day 02: Pokhara to Dhampus - Drive half an hour to Phedi and trek to 20 hours, 1600m high

Day 03: Dhampus to Ghandruk - Trek to 5/7 hours, 1950m high with local village culture, lifestyle and more.

Day 04: Ghandruk to Tadapani - 4 hours trekking, 2680m high overnight.

Day 05: Tadapani to Ghorepani - 5 hours trekking, 2850m high.

Day 06: Ghorepani – Poon Hill – explore rhododendron forest.

Day 07: Ghorepani to Nayapul and Pokhara - 6/7 hours trekking and 1.30 hours drive to Pokhara 800m, high.

Day 08: Pokhara to Kathmandu - driving by tourist bus, 6 hours, overnight in Kathmandu.
