Domestic flights to be suspended

The government has decided to reopen scheduled flights to four destinations.
While the government has suspended regular flights until May 31, a cabinet meeting held on Thursday evening decided to reopen flights to China, Qatar, and Turkey.
Two flights to New Delhi of India are operating every week without any interruption. Now onwards, the flights will resume to Beijing of China, Doha of Qatar, and Istanbul of Turkey also from June 1.
Passengers boarding these flights need to have PCR negative test report for the coronavirus. Those who have received all doses of vaccinations can stay in home quarantine after the travel whereas others need to stay in designated hotel quarantine.

The District Administration Offices of Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Lalitpur have extended the ongoing prohibitory order by another two weeks, on Tuesday.The prohibitory order has been extended till May 27.
The meeting has decided to halt all construction works except the National Pride Projects.
The suspension of scheduled international and Domestic commercial passenger flights to and from Nepal has been extended until May 31 midnight, the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal said on Tuesday.
Airlines are informed not to open passenger booking to and from Nepal until further advice and are notified to facilitate refunding of air tickets or extension of travel dates as required by passengers,” the civil aviation regulator said in its notice.

The Government of Nepal on Sunday decided to halt all domestic flights from Monday (3 May 2021) midnight and all international flights from May 6 midnight until May 14 to check the rapidly growing spread of the Covid-19.
Likewise, international flights to and from a few severely Covid-hit countries including India will also be suspended from today.
Nepal's Civil Aviation Authority had already directed various airway companies with schedule passes to cut down the number of flights by 50 per cent.
Bus services have been halted since Thursday (April 29).
On April 29, Nepal enforced two-week prohibitory orders in Kathmandu Valley as the three districts of the Valley–Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Lalitpur–are the most affected ones by the pandemic in terms of the number of daily cases.
Foreigners flying into the Kathmandu Valley are subject to a mandatory 10-day quarantine in hotels upon arrival. A negative polymerase chain reaction test result obtained within 72 hours prior to departure from the country of origin is required for entry into Nepal.
Earlier in March, Nepal had enforced new travel rules removing the quarantine requirement for foreign tourists in a bid to boost arrivals during the spring season, which is by far the most popular time that foreigners climb the 8,848.86-metre tall Mt Everest.
