Churen Himal 7371 m is among the mountains in the Dhawalagiri mountain range. It has three pinnacles which are called: Churen West 7371 m/24,183ft. Churen Central 7375 m/24,196ft and Churen North 7371 m/24,183ft.

Mount Churen Himal 7371 m (24,183ft) was first climbed on the 24th of October by the Academic Alpine Club of Shizuoka Expedition team in 1970 by Mr. Kr. Fukui and K. Hasegawa. Mr. Ryozo Yamamoto and his group had planned to climb since 1963, but the expedition unfortunately did not materialize until 1970. Members of the Academic Alpine Club of Shizuoka, Japan climbed the main peak (West Peak) of Churen Himal (7371 m) and the Central Peak (about 7371 m) on 28 and 24 October 1970 from the Southeast ridge which was led by Takashi Serizawa.

The Churen Himal is a moderate climbing challenge. This mountain is suitable for those climbers who want to climb a less crowded 7000 m peak and prepare for the next step which is an 8000 m expedition to Shishapangma, Cho-oyu or Manaslu expedition. On this route there is 30% rock climbing 50% snow and 20% ice climbing. Its technical grade classification is Scottish Grade III.
